The Reinforcements
My parents arrived yesterday! π
It was by far the best day I've had in the past week.
We got my meds right (didn't overdo it on the diuretic like I did on Wednesday) and I was able to spend most of the day upright. Sure it took me two hours to put on make-up and get dressed and into the car (I literally get out of breath by doing things like shaking my bottle of foundation or putting on mascara).
But by taking it slow and steady, we were able to go pick them up near Sea-Tac, show them where I work (they're very curious about Amazon) and then have a nice, slow-paced lunch at a seafood restaurant.
It's such a luxury to have them here.
It's so hard to see this on their faces.
But we get to be together. And Derek gets a bit of respite from being my constant caretaker. And we were able to take a nice photo before I climbed back into my jammies and washed my make-up off. And maybe some day I will get enough oxygen so that I don't forget what I'm talking about while I'm in the middle of a sentence.
And it might snow today. A white Christmas this year would be just about dead solid perfect.
