Quick Update

Hi all:

I plan to write more in-depth later, but many of you have been texting or IMing both me and Derek so I wanted to give a quick update.

I've been admitted for observation overnight. My overall condition has not worsened, I am not at any greater risk than I was yesterday or the day before. 

My heart has done a great many gymnastics over the course of the past 15 years and I've been this strangely lucky patient in that I've never felt it when it nails its dismount. 

We are simply learning a bit more about my new normal which is, by definition, new. In this new normal, I am feeling every bit of it when my heart does its routine on the uneven bars. And sometimes, apparently, I'm going to feel like I'm actually dying and I need to learn to manage my life around that. And a lot of it has to do with not having a single ounce more or less of fluid than my body can handle.
